Our Story

What are Clippies?
Clippies are hair accessories, measuring just under 2" wide. I create them predominately for little girls & infants, but I have several adult customers as well. Many people use them as an alternative to hair bows. However, it is very popular to use them to accentuate big boutique hair bows as well. The number one use for clippies; they are an excellent & gorgeous way to keep loose hairs and wispy bangs pinned back. Clippies offer a more chic look, to simply compliment an outfit, rather than take attention away from an outfit.
Who can wear Clippies?
Girls of any age! We have clients ranging from 3 months old to 60 years old! Its seems that age has no effect on clippie lovers. As with any small object, please be sure to supervise your infant as she wears her clippies! A French Clip is a spring loaded clip. It is the same measurement as an alligator clip in width (2") but it has a locking mechanism. These are typically requested when a child has thick hair.
What is "No Slip Grip"?
No Slip Grip is a simple strip of rubber-like material that we will attach to the underbelly of a clippie. This strip of rubber-like material will do wonders for little girls with thin/fine hair. Even if your cutie doesn't have fine hair though, no slip grip will ensure a tight fit in her hair all day long. Now you don't have to worry about sending her to school & having her lose her cutest hair accessories!
Are these clips slippery without NO SLIP GRIP?
Partially lined clips, tend to have more friction in the hair, than fully lined clips. I partially line each clippie with ribbon.
What is the difference between an Alligator clip and a French clip?
An Alligator Clip is a pinch type clip. It opens like the mouth of an alligator. These can be lined with No Slip Grip to ensure a tight fit. These are most commonly used for clippies.
Are Clippie Couture Clippies Fully or Partially lined?
Partially lined is the overwhelming favorite for clippie lovers. Partially lined clippies are easier to put in hair and take out. Partially lined clippies also tend to have more friction in the hair than fully lined.
What kind of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards & e-checks via paypal. We also take Money Orders and Checks in person at our Private Boutique Sales.
Are Clippies good for gift giving?
Absolutely, Yes! Clippies are wonderful gifts because girls and women of all ages can wear them. You will receive your clippies placed on boutique cards, tucked neatly inside of a bag (to prevent anything leaking on them during transit!) and placed inside of a larger corrugated shipping box or envelope. The only time we do not place them on cards, is if your clips are fully wrapped, or you have purchased French clips for your clippies. In this case, we place them in a gift bag.
How much is shipping?
$4.80 will ship up six sets of clippies via USPS First Class Mail, each additional item is only $.25. If you would like Priority Mail, the cost is a flat rate of $6.95. Orders over $25.00 receive FREE SHIPPING in the continental USA!
What if I need to return an order?
All returns must be made within 5 days of receiving a package. ONLY unworn clippies and accessories may be returned. Package MUST be received back to Clippie Couture Boutique in the same condition that it was sent. If clippies are broken/torn or package is ripped, etc, no refund or partial refund will be given. Shipping costs will NOT be refunded. Refunds will only be given via PayPal.
